WhatsApp word cloud: turn your group chat into a poster
ThreadArt makes a WhatsApp word cloud from the messages in your group chat. Export the chat from WhatsApp, upload the file, and the words you all use most become a poster to download or frame. It happens in your browser.

Questions people ask
- What is a WhatsApp word cloud?
- A picture made from the words in a WhatsApp chat. The more often a word is used, the bigger it appears, so the result shows the jokes, names and phrases that define your group.
- How do I export a WhatsApp chat?
- Open the chat, tap the group or contact name, choose Export Chat and pick Without Media. iPhone gives you a .zip file and Android a .txt file. Upload that file to ThreadArt.
- Is my chat private?
- Yes. The file is read on your device and never uploaded. Nothing is stored, and closing the tab discards it. If you order a print, only the finished artwork image is sent to us.
- How much does it cost?
- Making and previewing the word cloud is free. A high-resolution download is £4.99. Posters start at £15.49 and framed prints at £57.99, with UK delivery included.
- Can I choose which words and people appear?
- Yes. Exclude words, leave out participants, pick a date range and choose the shape, colours and font before you download or order.
- How long does a framed print take to arrive?
- Every print is made to order. Allow around 12 to 14 business days for UK delivery; the exact estimate for your item is shown before you pay.
